Vasiliki Polychniatou

Vasiliki Polychniatou studied chemical engineering at the National technical University of Athens (NTUA), with specialization in food and biotechnology. She has also completed her Master Degree in Water Resources Science and Technology at NTUA and currently is finishing her PhD thesis in Food Chemistry and Technology.
Her main interests are in the field of food chemistry and technology (mainly emulsion technology) and environmental science (mainly water resources science and technology).
Since 2011, she has collaborated with many research oriented organisations, working in project implementation/management and in research funding application management on innovative research concepts such as: closing the loop in food industries, water reuse and recovery technologies, nutrients and nutraceuticals recovery, algal biorefinery technologies, and nano-encapsulation technologies for anticancer drugs (liposomes and nanoemulsions).
