botany, phytochemistry, ecological biochemistry, plant physiology and -metabolism
Andrea Zraunig studied biology at the University of Vienna until 2012 with focus on ecological biochemistry and comparative phytochemistry. She was especially intrigued with the isolation process and identification of secondary plant metabolites in a chemo-systematic way and in a structure-activity relationship. During her studies she also worked as a scientific assistant at the institute of comparative phytochemistry at the University of Vienna.
She had several internships and expeditions abroad (Thailand, Costa Rica, Ethiopia and Tanzania), where she gained deep practical insights into tropical biodiversity and sustainable agriculture.
