CATCO2NVERS

Creating added-value chemicals from bio-industrial CO2 emissions using integrated catalytic technologies

The Goal of the project is to develop and optimize technologies that convert CO2 into different types of chemicals that can be used for many things: making plastics, used as an energy source (biomethanol),for cosmetics, for industrial processes.

Vision of the project

Use CO2 pollution as a building block to create useful chemicals for the industry. In this way we:

  1. reduce the use of fossil fuels used as a source of Carbons
  2. reduce the quantity of CO2 rejected into the atmosphere

Expected main results

  • Validation of new CO2 conversion technologies
  • Proof of socioeconomic and industrial feasability

Effect on circular economy or nature based solutions

The ability to create sustainable plastics and chemicals, from CO2 pollution – this has the effect of directly closing a carbon loop.
