Electronics Technician (m/w) for EU projects

We are searching for a motivated, experienced and driven Electronics Technician to join our innovative project development team!


An opportunity has now become available within our technical development team for a hands-on and experienced Electronics Technician able to support the building, automatization and development of project prototypes, technologies and products. The salary, starting from EUR 1.600,00 per month (gross, 30 hour/week, 14 x per year), is based on the Austrian collective agreement for extramural research (employment group C) and is negotiable relative to the applicant’s qualifications and professional experience.

Duties and responsibilities
The applicant will be responsible for carrying out following tasks autonomously:

  • electrical installations up to 440V Three Phase Electric Power
  • soldering microelectronics and building integrated circuit boards
  • setup, implementation and documentation of calibration and qualification tests
  • design, programming and integration of customised sensor and actuator systems for environmental quality parameters
  • control/regulation interfaces
  • localised power generation (e.g. photovoltaics, thermocouples, microbial fuel cells, etc.)
  • CE-label applications

Job Qualifications

  • certified electrician/electronic technician with legally recognised training
  • related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Specific Requirements

  • a valid driver’s license, flexibility and the readiness to travel EU-wide for installations
  • proficient verbal and written English and German
  • creative thinking, adaptable, solutions-oriented and able to improvise
  • a structured, independent and precise work approach
  • openness to innovations and a strong commitment to sustainable practices and circular economy principles
  • contributing to the team spirit through effective communication and projecting a positive work ethic
  • European citizenship
